User guide (Tango API-v2)
This is a complete guide for Tango API
Tango Application Programming Interface (API), also known as Rewards as a Service (RaaS®) API, is a robust API that can be used to power sending rewards or incentives outside of the Tango portal's web UI.
With Tango API, you can integrate a reward catalog or access the Global reward catalog, automate reward delivery, manage customers (groups), accounts, and orders on your Tango platform, add funds to accounts, manage email templates, and much more.
Note:
- Check our Test Console and get right to the code.
- To receive your own credentials or to ask questions, reach out to one of our Technical Support specialists or email [email protected].
What do we offer in Tango API?
- RESTful API to implement in your code and verify Tango API works as intended.
- Tango API for your integrations and customizations, but not any code customization.
- Support and help troubleshooting when needed.
Who can use Tango API?
Any company that is looking for an integrated solution to send rewards can use Tango API. We support enterprises with more complicated structure or small companies with simple structure.
Benefits
- Integrate with other applications and tools, such as Salesforce, Qualtrics, Zapier, that allow Tango rewards to be sent through third-party systems in real time.
- Combine Tango reward redemption with your own program's user points and rewards programs.
- Allow recipients to choose and redeem rewards from the Tango catalog through the program’s custom UI.
- Create custom-coded automations that can pull recipient and reward data from other sources and send Tango rewards.
Requirements
- Access to a browser—we recommend using Chrome for best performance.
- A Tango Platform—sign in to Tango portal if you have one or sign up for a new account. You can also request a demo and connect with a sales rep.
- Enabled API keys—You must have your API keys enabled for your platform. See below to learn how you can enable your API keys.
How to get your API keys enabled?
- Once you check out Tango's Sandbox Test Console , request a demo and connect with our sales team. We will set you up with your own sandbox platform for testing.
- When you're ready to move to Tango production account, connect with the onboarding team via your sales rep and get ready for Program and UI review.
- Send a copy of your program Fact Sheet to your onboarding contact for review.
- When your program is approved, your assigned onboarding rep will enable you production API credentials. With the production API credentials in hand, you're ready to dive in to the Tango API.
