Set up work environment
Once you create a Tango account, we provide you with a sandbox test account and a production account. Tango sandbox API is a fully functional mirror of Tango production API with a notable exception: funds, reward codes, etc. are not real. Our sandbox allows you to test comprehensively and risk-free prior to production deployment. Please note that sandbox testing is not a replacement for production testing. Check out our Sandbox Test Console and get right to the code.
Sandbox environment
A few important things to know when setting up a sandbox environment:
-
Credentials: To try out our API, see the username and password in Sandbox test console . Once you are ready to receive your credentials or ask questions, contact your Tango representative. We'll provide you with your own unique sandbox platform and credentials.
-
Functionality: Tango's sandbox is a fully functional mirror of Tango's production API. Our sandbox allows you to test comprehensively and risk-free prior to production deployment. Sandbox testing is not a replacement for production testing.
-
Uptime: Tango’s sandbox has historically operated over 99.9% uptime, though we do not have a published SLA.
-
Persistence of Data: Tango may choose to delete accounts or other information in the sandbox environment at its discretion.
-
Troubleshooting: If you are encountering a problem in the sandbox environment and aren’t sure whether it is due to your code or the Tango API’s behavior, we recommend attempting the same operation on our Sandbox test console.
-
Production: When you have completed your development and are ready for production testing and launch, you can request production credentials.
Production environment
When you are ready to move to production, you need to agree to the Tango terms of service. Once you agree to the terms of service, we will create credentials for the production environment and follow up with you. You can access our production environment using the Product URI listed above.
